Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated new-gen Verna on March 21, and with the big day fast approaching, the company has been teasing the car on its official social media handles. The highly awaited unveiling of the car’s interior has finally revealed some important details about the dashboard design, upholstery, and other features.
One of the most exciting features of the 2023 Hyundai Verna is its dual-screen setup, which consists of a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a similarly sized touchscreen infotainment system. This advanced technology is sure to set new standards in the mid-size sedan segment, where it will compete with other popular vehicles, like the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and the facelifted Honda City.
Hyundai has also revealed that the new-gen Verna will feature a switchable type controller with dual functions. The rotary dials can be used to control the volume and radio tuning, but at the press of a button, they can be switched to buttons that control climate control functions. The car will also come equipped with an eight-speaker Bose premium audio system and three drive modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport.
Safety is also a top priority for Hyundai, and the new-gen Verna will feature Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) safety tech, which could include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more. The safety kit will likely also include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, VSM, traction control, TPMS, and other essential safety features.
Under the hood, the 2023 Verna will come equipped with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, which has a power output of 115 PS and 144 Nm, and a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm torque. The car will come with a standard 6-speed manual transmission, while the latter will have an optional 7-speed DCT as well.
