Sandeep Singh: “Flicker Singh” is the real Hero for our next generation.
I am very surprised that despite being a sportsmen I know so little about Sandeep Singh. I am grateful to the director of the movie “Surma”, Shahad Khan, for his efforts to make a biopic about Sandeep Singh.
Film “Soorma”
We are grateful to Diljeet Dosanjh for presenting the character of Sandeep Singh in full honesty to the public. If Diljeet and Sandeep Singh are seen together, it would be difficult to tell us that which Sandeep Singh is real?
After watching the movie “Surma” I gathered information about Sandeep Singh . I was very happy to know about him. We can help the students by telling them a lot about Sandeep Singh’s personality and struggles. His life can inspire our students.
Role Model for students
Many students suffer from mental depression due to various reasons. They are frightened by the small problems that come in life. Despite Sandeep Singh being in coma and being paralyzed, he has achieved success in international hockey. Sandeep Singh not only became the captain of the Indian hockey team, but his “drag flick” has given him a special place in the entire game world.
Inspirational Movie- “Soorma”
It is our good fortune that Bollywood has made a very good movie on this great persona. In the film “Surma” Sandeep Singh’s life struggle has been presented very well. The film has been successful in delivering the message that there is no other alternative to constant struggle in life.
Good biopics by Bollywood
In the past years, Bollywood has presented some very good biopics. Films like Pan Singh Tomar, Marikom, Bhag Milkha Bhag, Sachin, Soorma have attracted youth towards sports in the society. Films like Three Idiots, Tare Jameen Par etc attracted the attention of the society towards educational system.
Responsibilities of teachers
Now its our responsibility to encourage students to see these tyoe of films . Through this type of films students can be attracted towards the game. Without games we cannot imagine for a healthy society .
We salute Sandeep Singh for his services towards hockey and nation.

संदीप सिंह- युवाओं के लिए प्रेरणास्रोत व भारतीय हॉकी के अम्बेसडर।
मुझे बेहद आश्चर्य है कि मैं खेलप्रेमी होने के बावजूद संदीप सिंह के बारे में इतना कम जानता हूँ। मै फ़िल्म “सूरमा” के निर्देशक शाद खान का आभारी हूँ जिनके प्रयास से हम सभी संदीप सिंह के बारे में इतना जान सके।
“सूरमा” एक बेहतरीन फ़िल्म
संदीप सिंह के चरित्र को जनता के सामने पूरी ईमानदारी से प्रस्तुत करने के लिए हम दिलजीत दोसाँझ के आभारी है। दिलजीत और संदीप सिंह को अगर साथ मे देखा जाए तो बताना मुश्किल होगा कि असली संदीप सिंह कौन है?
फ़िल्म “सूरमा” को देखने के बाद मैंने संदीप सिंह के बारे में जानकारी जुटाई। उनके बारे में जानकर मुझें बहुत खुशी हुई। संदीप सिंह के बारे में हम विद्यार्थियों को बता कर उनकी बहुत मदद कर सकते है। संदीप सिंह का व्यक्तित्व व संघर्ष हमारे विद्यार्थियों को प्रेरित कर सकते है।
यह हमारे सौभाग्य है कि इस महान शख्सियत पर बॉलीवुड ने एक बहुत अच्छी फिल्म बनाई है। फिल्म “सूरमा” में संदीप सिंह के जीवन संघर्ष को बहुत अच्छी तरह से प्रस्तुत किया गया है। फिल्म यह संदेश देने में सफल रही है कि जीवन में लगातार संघर्ष का कोई अन्य विकल्प नहीं है।
संदीप सिंह- युवाओं के प्रेरणा स्त्रोत
बहुत सारे विद्यार्थी विभिन्न कारणों से मानसिक अवसाद से पीड़ित हो जाते है। वे जीवन मे आने वाली छोटी बड़ी परेशानी से घबरा जाते है। संदीप सिंह ने कोमा में रहने व लकवा हो जाने के बावजूद भी अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर हॉकी में सफलता प्राप्त की। संदीप सिंह ना केवल भारतीय हॉकी टीम के कप्तान बने बल्कि उनके “ड्रैग फ्लिक” ने पूरे खेल जगत में उनको विशिष्ट स्थान दिया है।
विगत वर्षों में बॉलीवुड ने बहुत अच्छी बॉयोपिक प्रस्तुत की है। पान सिंह तोमर, मेरीकॉम, भाग मिल्खा भाग, सचिन, सूरमा जैसी फिल्मों ने समाज में खेल के प्रति युवाओ को आकर्षित किया है। तारे जमीन पर, थ्री इडियट्स जैसी फिल्मों ने समाज का ध्यान शिक्षा के प्रति आकर्षित किया है।
अब हम शिक्षकों का दायित्व हैं कि हम इस प्रकार की फिल्मों का चयन कर इन फिल्मों को देखने के लिए विद्यार्थियों को निरन्तर प्रेरित करे। इस प्रकार की फिल्मों के द्वारा विद्यार्थियों का ध्यान खेलों की तरफ आकर्षित किया जा सकता है। खेलों के बिना एक स्वस्थ समाज की कल्पना नही की जा सकती है।
