Shakib Khan, a popular Bangladeshi actor who has also appeared in a number of Tollywood films, has been accused of shocking misconduct towards film crews. In a recent letter sent to the Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association, Khan was accused of breaching contracts and engaging in unprofessional and unethical behavior towards the members of the film productions he had signed on to. However, the most disturbing allegations against him include charges of rape and sexual abuse.
According to reports, Khan has been accused of raping a co-producer in a hotel room. The alleged victim suffered serious injuries during the incident. The most shocking part of this story is that Khan was actually detained in Australia on rape charges in 2018. However, at the time, the victim did not come forward, and as a result, the Australian law enforcers were unable to take any further action.
The recent letter sent to the Film Artistes Association by the producer of Khan’s 2017 film ‘Operation Agneepath’ outlines more instances of the actor’s unprofessional and immoral behavior. For instance, Khan is accused of dismissing a shooting with no prior notice, creating unnecessary burden for the crew, and not following the set time for shooting. He would often appear on set whenever he wanted, causing delays and affecting the production schedule.
The producer claims that Khan fled Bangladesh while they were taking care of the victim. Since then, the actor has gone missing, and nobody has been able to get in touch with him. It’s a shockingly unethical and unprofessional move from someone who is supposed to be a role model and set an example for others in the film industry.
It’s important for actors and celebrities to remember that they hold a great deal of power and influence. They should, therefore, exercise caution and responsibility in every aspect of their lives, including their professional engagements. Such behavior is not only unethical and immoral but also harmful and damaging to the industry that they work in. Let us hope that Shakib Khan takes responsibility for his actions, and that the industry moves forward with more emphasis on accountability and professionalism.
