The Telangana Sahitya Academy is set to honor the renowned lyricist Chandrabose, who penned the award-winning song “Naatu Naatu”, which won an Oscar. Academy Chairman Juluru Gowri Shankar announced the felicitation program, which is slated to be held at the Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad on March 28th.
In his statement, Shankar expressed pride for the fact that Chandrabose was able to write an electrifying song using phrases from Telugu rural culture, obtaining the admiration of the world.
